While many organizations have robust 5S Audit processes, most are still done on paper or managed in Excel spreadsheets. There are many benefits to having a cloud-based software tool aid you in collecting and managing these audits over time – we wrote a more detailed blog post on that topic and you can check it out here. The 5S Audits module was built with the end user in mind and is designed for use on both computers and tablet devices. Just imagine being able to take a tablet around your audit area, snap and upload photos, complete the audit in real-time, and return to your work station with all that information already entered into the system! No more time wasted entering data into spreadsheets, emailing out updated dashboards, filing old 5S Audits, and maintaining records that are cumbersome to store and reference. With all of your data in the cloud, your 5S Audit results, both past and present, are at your fingertips and accessible to everyone on your team. This eliminates waste and allows you to get more done in less time. Managing your 5S Audits and keeping your work areas in excellent condition will become a breeze.
Our 5S Audits module is based on templates, and users can create as many fully-customized templates as they want for scoring each area. The actual audits are managed by 5S area, and users select an area owner as part of the setup process:
When conducting an audit, the user “scores” each individual criteria, and these criteria scores are used to calculate an overall score for the audit. You can also take, upload, and edit pictures right from the audit page. Users can review old audits and pictures to see scores on individual criteria, and quickly see which criteria were scored good/bad for the entire audit from this single view:
During the audit, the user can assign action items based on what he/she observes. These action items are assigned to the area owner, and each area has a real-time register of 5S action items to review at any time. Also, these 5S items will appear on the area owner’s own personal action item list as soon as they are created:
By signing up for a free account, you can manage up to 20 different 5S Areas and add as many users to the system as you’d like. You have nothing to lose, click the button below to sign up now and start managing your 5S Audits in the cloud!
